urges beginning grad students to spend their time—particularly summer time—wisely by seeking out and applying for research funding.
The purpose of these Dissertation Fellowships is to provide outstanding Ph. candidates in the Arts and the Humanities with support to assist in completing their doctoral dissertations.
All six fellowships provide full support for the academic year.
Each fellowship comes with a monthly stipend (50% GPTI equivalent, tuition remission (five dissertation hours only), fees, and medical insurance for the academic year.
Students may not engage in other forms of paid employment (working, teaching, or off-campus employment) during the time they receive a Dissertation Fellowship.
It is geared primarily for individuals seeking grants, fellowships, and scholarships from external organizations to support education or research.
